Gordon McLeod represented the lessor in the execution of a 10-year, triple net lease with PickUp USA Fitness®, a national franchise with a basketball-focused recreation and training concept. The deal contained a large amount of complex tenant improvement negotiations to condition and completely renovate the 22,800 square foot warehouse facility into 3 full-size courts, a half-court and a gym. PickUp will offer group and private basketball training, officiated games, a full weight and cardio rooms. PickUp USA was founded in 2012, and has since expanded to markets across the country. This area of the Lower Garden District is quickly becoming a sports hub, with the new Top Golf facility and the Exchange Pickleball + Bar nearby, all of which are adjacent to the expansive new River District currently underway.
